Our volunteers have partnered with private landowners across county Wicklow that want to improve the biodiversity on their land. We have worked on projects ranging in size from planting new hedgerows to extending mature woodlands. We have also helped with the just-as-important aftercare, returning to sites to cut back competing vegetation and laying mulch to give the new trees every chance to establish.
So far we have planted over 1,600 trees, shrubs and native plants on sites in Ashford, Blessington, Kilcoole, Laragh, Newcastle and Newtownmountkennedy. If you own land and you would be interested in finding out more about rewilding or how our volunteers could help you with advice, trees or labour - we’d love to hear from you!
