Roundwood Community Preschool raise €555 in raffle

Recently our chairperson Danny visited the Roundwood Community Preschool Open Day on behalf of ReWild Wicklow and spoke to the families there about our work. We also gifted them one of our rowan trees as a thank you for choosing us as the beneficiary of a raffle held on the day which raised €555!

"We were hugely grateful to Hannah O Kelly; Biodiversity Officer WCC, Danny Alvey; Chairperson ReWild Wicklow, Wicklow Men's Shed and Green Party TD Steven Matthews, for joining us on the day. Many businesses donated prizes for a raffle to aid the work of ReWild Wicklow. An impressive €555 was raised, which will help restore natural habitats across Wicklow. We would like to thank everyone who helped make the day a success, and we're hoping to make it an annual event," said the manager Emma Cahill after the event.

The manager and staff there are so committed to teaching the children about the environment and biodiversity and it was a pleasure to visit This donation will go straight into the fund for more trees next year!
