River cleanup and bramble clearing

On Saturday we helped the East Wicklow Rivers Trust do a river cleanup along the Avonmore in Rathdrum. We were also delighted to be joined by local TD Jennifer Whitmore who is a co-founder of the Rivers Trust and her party's spokesperson on biodiversity and climate change.

Then on Sunday we returned to the Birdwatch Ireland nature reserve to help clear some smothering bramble from a native hedgerow before breeding season starts.

And we have another busy weekend coming with sea buckthorn clearing on Saturday in Brittas Bay and tree planting on Sunday in Knockree.
