Busy weekend with Rathdrum Tidy Towns and NPWS

We had two big crews of rewilders out this week with hundreds of new trees added to the county stock.

On Saturday we joined forces with the Rathdrum Tidy Towns to help them plant 170 metres of new hedgerow along Union Lane in Rathdrum. This native hedgerow when grown will connect the town to the Millennium Forest creating a new wildlife corridor.

Then on Sunday we continued work with the NPWS rangers, this time planting 200 birch, rowan and alder in protective tubes along wet gullies right in the heart of the mountains.

Come join us next time and enjoy the beautiful scenery, the craic and the feeling of making a difference! Sign up here.
