A wonderful visit to Wild Eala in Blessington

We had a relaxing and inspiring morning at Wild Eala on the shores of the Blessington Lakes over the weekend.

Its a fantastic project led by Bebhinn with a wildflower meadow, forest garden and newly planted native woodland under the shadow of some magnificent old oaks you can see in the background here.

We were treated to a tour of the place, some history of the land and then helped in the native woodland with young trees that were struggling against the grass including some self-seeded oak saplings.

You find out more about the project here. And to join us for the next one add your email to the volunteer list here.
