A new wet woodland on the Miners Way

What an incredible place to be planting trees! On Saturday we were delighted to give our friends at Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team and NPWS a few extra hands to plant 700 trees funded by the Moonlight Challenge event run by the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team.

We were planting near the Miner's Way in the Glendasan Valley on a soft boggy bit of ground that was perfect for native willow, alder and birch, with some rowan on the drier ground. The views all around there are incredible and in time we will hopefully have a new native wet woodland in this area.
