54 bags cleaned from Ballygannon Wood

54 bags of rubbish, excluding larger dumped items. That was the haul from 40 of ReWild Wicklow’s volunteers on Sunday in Ballygannon Wood, in partnership with An Taisce’s National Spring Clean.

An essential part of our vision for a wilder Wicklow involves habitat restoration. And, whilst we've begun achieving this goal on a grand scale with the help of our generous volunteers, it's important to remember our roots. ReWild Wicklow started with a simple clean up in Ballygannon Wood in December 2021.

And so, we were delighted to return on Sunday and this time bigger than ever and with support from a legion of ReWilders. We continued where we last left off – cleansing this wonderful native woodland of rubbish and returning it to its rightful state!
